A complete outdoor fuel dispenser display module: 8.0 inch chemically strengthened cover glass optically bonded to an 8+8 digit VA (PMVA) segment LCD. Built for forecourt pumps that must stay readable in direct sunlight, at 1000 nits brightness and across a -40 to +80 C wide temperature range. Supplied as one laminated part, so you do not run a separate bonding step on your line.

Mechanical and Optical Integration

The cover glass carries an opaque matte black silk-screen mask that reduces the central aperture to 140 x 102 mm, hiding the module edge and the bonding area behind it. Because the outline reuses the existing 8.0 inch landscape tooling, a pump OEM already running an 8 inch TFT window can adopt this display without changing the front bezel, gasket or mounting bosses.

1. What is the difference between this VA version and a common HTN fuel dispenser display?

VA (PMVA) delivers a higher contrast ratio and darker background than HTN, so lit segments stay crisp under strong sunlight and the display reads cleanly at an angle. Older drawings in circulation may still label this platform as HTN; the module supplied here is VA.

2. How is the 1000 nit brightness achieved?

Through a high-efficiency LED backlight combined with a transflective polarizer and OCA full lamination, which removes the air gap that normally eats light and causes internal reflection.

3. What is the minimum order quantity?

MOQ is 1000 pieces per configuration. Because the cover glass tooling already exists, there is no new tooling charge for the standard 217.26 x 175.97 mm outline.

4. Can you customize the icon layout and digit format?

Yes. Send artwork or a dimensional drawing; we return a silk-screen and segment layout for approval before tooling or sampling.

5. Do you provide samples before mass production?

Samples are available for evaluation. Sample configuration, quantity and schedule are confirmed per project, since the cover glass print is product specific.

6. Which certificates are available?

Our factory operates under ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. Product level compliance documents such as RoHS or REACH test reports are arranged per destination market requirement; please state the market when enquiring.

7. How is the module packaged for shipment?

Anti-static tray, foam interlayer and export carton, with the cover glass face protected. Air and sea freight are both supported, and packaging can be reinforced for long sea routes on request.
